We The People is an artist-based fundraising platform that aims to uplift oppressed voices. They reached out to me to create some artwork to promote their event, A Call To Action.

POSTERWe The People are big fans of Shepard Fairey's work. While taking inspiration of his use of color and hi-contrast shading, I married that with my own illustrative techniques.
I knew I wanted to have a rougher texture overall to have a tactile feel to come across in the poster. I used a combination of hand lettering, photographs, and illustration to make a digital collage to pay tribute to the grassroots history of people rallying together to make their voices heard.
