Guac Down the Aisle Wedding Program

Emily is not your typical bride. As the DC-based feminist boss babe that she is, she wanted to have a wedding program that was inspired by the ‘90’s riot grrrl zines for her wedding.

Zines are a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via photocopier.

zine style

We wanted the zine to feel handmade. To achieve this, I ripped up, folded and scanned different paper textures.

We also used a mix of hand drawn elements and a mix of different fonts and photographs to create a collage effect.

It's what's on the inside that counts

The content for her wedding ‘zine explained the Jewish traditions used in their ceremony, included their seating chart, dinner menu, and a tear-out advocacy call to action mailer.
